Travel Tips

Warm Clothes

Even if you are traveling to warm destination such as the South Pacific it gets cold at sea! ALWAYS pack a warm sweater!

Rough Seas

If you are prone to sea sickness, during rough seas move yourself to the centre of the ship and to the lowest level. The lower and closer to the centre you go, the less movement you will experience.

Packing Tip

When packing for a cruise add extra metal coat hangers to your suitcase so that you will be able to hang much of your clothes. Nylon shoe shelves are also handy! All of these can be found at the dollar store!

Dining with the Captain

Here is a tip for those who would like to dine with the captain of the ship. The waiters look for couples who are non-smokers, enjoying themselves, do not curse, and do not drink heavily. The waiters give suggestions to the maitre d' after the first dinner.

If you want to dine with the captain and you meet these characteristics, make sure you talk with the waiter the first night to let him know your wishes.

Planning Tip

When planning your cruise add an extra day or so to the beginning of your trip in case you experience any flight delays - or worse, cancellations. There is nothing worse than starting your vacation stressed because you have to hurry to make it to the ship.

Tip - Protect Yourself

Although you may find the shore excursions cheaper through local sources compared to the cruise lines excursions desks, you may end up stranded - or at the least taken advantage of. If you want to find alternative shore excursions give us a call before you leave!

Basic Dress Code Guidelines

Most cruise lines offer guidelines of how many formal, informal and casual nights will be onboard, but what exactly do these categories mean?

Book Shore Excursions Early

Ensure you get your first choice of shore excursions by booking them before you sail. Most cruise linesallow you to book excursions online up to five days prior to sailing, once you have placed your initial deposit on your booking.

Just in Case Tip

Remember to bring an extra pair of eyeglasses in case of breakage or loss.

Packing Tip

When folding ironed clothes that are going in your luggage, fold them up with tissue. This cuts down on wrinkles and allows you to stack your clothes neatly.

Port of Kusadasi

Kelly just recently returned from a Mediterranean cruise raving over her experiences.  One of the sights she found really fascinating was the ancient ruined city of Ephesus in Turkey.

Ephesus has a history stretching back thousands of years, well into ancient times, and historians have traced its annals back
