WHAT CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY...
inton out of Nanaimo that would be part of the "class act". They were impressed!!!! The house coats and cookbook were wonderful as well. Thank you, again. Just looking at the pictures in that book makes me gain weight. We limped into Tortola because one of the engines wasn't working so we missed one of our snorkel trips, but they deducted that off our bill. The hotel you sent us to in Ft. Lauderdale was beautiful and we enjoyed that very much. Even with all the little things that were unusual to Holland America we'll still travel with them again and with you. Thank you so much!

Hi Dave, Helen and I just returned home this morning. Great to be back. We want you to know how much we enjoyed our cruise. You and your staff did a great job.
Thanks for the wine and robes. In speaking with others on the ship, you had a very sharp pencil. We heard one story, where people from Saskatchewan (John and Carmel Beattie) read the add and checked the price with their own travel agent. The agent said they couldn't come close to the price and asked if they felt they could trust your office. Mr. Beattie checked you out through the Better Business Bureau and following that, they booked their cruise. Great job, and enjoyed the onboard welcome and parting as well. Thanks Dave.

I was first introduced to Dave on the following up of a TravelZoo tip. My husband has a 'bucket list' and on this list was a cruise to Alaska. Dave's Cruises had advertised a special price for some cruises and so I gave them a call. Immediately I was embraced over the phone by Dave himself.
I never before have had a travel experience quite like this. I called this company and Dave picked up the phone and began to chat with me. We talked about the Alaskan cruise ships and all of the available itineraries and Dave gave me his thoughts on which he felt would best suit our needs. We were on the phone for 45 minutes and it felt like I was on the phone with my very best friend. He was charming, thoughtful, thorough, and made me feel valued. I have never in my life felt that way about any travel agent that I have worked with in the past. To make this an even more memorable experience, I received a phone call in the weeks leading up to our cruise asking if I would like an upgrade to a balcony suite. Dave felt this was a really great price and a great idea and so I took him up on the offer. The cruise was magical as a result of the upgrade, and had I not booked with Dave, we would likely havent of had the experience that we did. I have never before been contacted by a travel agent for an upgrade before, nor have I been taken care of as well by any other agent in the past.
Thanks Dave for the great experience. We look forward to working with you again in the future!

Bill and I enjoyed a wonderful re-positioning cruise from Ft Lauderdale to Vancouver and, yes, Bill was the oldest person on the cruise. No one knew my name, but they all knew Bill Murdoch. I was known as the lady with Bill!!!
I must comment on the great connection from Vancouver, via Las Vegas to Ft Lauderdale, all worked out perfectly. Many of the flights we heard about commenced at midnight to Toronto/Montreal - three hour layover - Ft Lauderdale. The Ft Lauderdale Grande (now Hilton) was in a perfect location and we enjoyed the taxi service on the canals.
ms Zuiderdam is a grand ship and our stateroom worked out well with the verandah. We did enter the ports in the Yucatan but after Colombia the ports (due to H1N1) were changed to Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Guatamala. Long cruise from there to LA (five days) but under the circumstances the best they could do. Captain Turner kept us informed (even when he was not sure where we would end up) but at least it made us less anxious.

Really enjoyed the cruise. Everything went like clockwork. Thanks for your good organization.
Happy new year!

Thanks, Dave, for all of your help making this the best ever vacation! We had a wonderful time, loved the ship, the itinerary, the drinks and especially having a suite. We might be spoiled forever!
Loved Holland America - the service was great, the food was universally first rate and the ship and accommodations were wonderful. If the airline morons hadn't intervened, we might have said it was flawless. Coming back was fine - I guess that they didn't care too much as long as we were leaving, but getting through Pearson was more than difficult. The remainder of this year looks a little dicey as we are in the midst of re-doing the kitchen, but next year for Europe is in our sights! Thanks again, talk to you.

We wish to thank you for the good advice and willing assistance provided in setting up our Panama cruise. Our 23 days away were especially rewarding because of the many ports visited, Holland America Line was everything you said it would be and the crew were most considerate.

Hana and I would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to you for providing a wonderful trip, being all that you promised. (Sep 24 to Oct 20/09 MS Ryndam Holland America Line). Your consideration in letting us choose which flight times best suited us, (as much as possible) made a big difference.
That rib-eye steak I had in the Pinnacle Grill was the absolute best steak that I have ever had in my entire life, without exception. The upgrade was nice and the hotels great. We will definitely be coming back to you when next the urge surfaces.

In hindsight, we are very pleased that we noticed your Vancouver Sun ad and that we phoned "some guy named Dave".
The Hilton Marina was certainly a spectacular hotel and the Embassy Suites in San Diego was equally enjoyable.
(The endless breakfast was outdone only by the Happy Hour...first time ever that drinks were free.) Both hotels were also great locations.
All flights were on time and even bags arrived at the same time. (So much for the rumour that DELTA stood for "Don't Expect Luggage To Arrive.)
The Oosterdam was excellent...food, Pinnacle, entertainment, facilities etc. Seas were calm and it was continually sunny weather.
Our only negative reaction was the size of the cabin. It brought new meaning to SMALL. The similar cabins on the Main deck were much larger.
All things considered it was an excellent trip and we appreciate your very efficient arrangements. Thanks for a good time. Regards.

Well, it's over, and not a single hitch...what a horrid thing when there is not a single problem to complain about afterwards!
I'd sure like to know how you can book us into the Hilton Marina and Embassy Suites hotels, and fly us there, and get us on that cruise, all for that price...oh, and I forgot the Pinnacle...and, fyi, we had an inner on the LP deck - what a great place - so much nicer than the lower decks!
Very nice trip...we met a lot of your other customers - we were going to have a party together...
We definitely will talk more in the next few years ... Keep up the good work!

You did a great job Dave. We love San Diego and the Embassy Suites was an excellent hotel. It was great that there were so many Canadians on the ship. The Pinnacle was a good experience.
We will certainly cruise through you again.

Just to let you know how much we enjoyed dealing with you for our cruise to Hawaii.Considering the short notice we gave you,the tickets arrived a couple of days before our departure in good time. And the one night stay in the Embassy Hotel Suite in San Diego was excellent. We will certainly get you to quote us on our next vacation. Thanks again for the great service!

We recently returned from a cruise we booked with you - Spring repositioning on the HAL Zuiderdam Ft. Lauderdale to Vanvouver via the Panama Canal, which included the two night stopover at the Lauderdale Grande. We would like you to know that this was an amazing experience.
The package was the best deal I could find anywhere. Everything went without a hitch and no hidden costs or fees, and I would like to add that I am very glad that I took your upgrade offer - we were really treated royally!
I would have no hesitation in booking with you again and recommending you to friends and relatives.

Thanks to you, we had a very enjoyable seventeen-night Hawaiian cruise, flying from Vancouver to San Diego where we stayed at the beautiful Embassy Suites Hotel.
All went well on our arrival at the San Diego airport – being shuttled to the hotel, served “happy hour” drinks that evening and enjoyed a very adequate breakfast buffet the next morning. We were further delighted that the hotel shuttled us to the dock where we boarded the MS Zaandam.
The sixteen-day cruise was all we had hoped for. Holland American Cruise Lines do a great job in cuisine, entertainment and service. Thank you so much, also, for our wonderful Pinnacle Grill dinner which you included in our package – it was an exquisite dining experience.
To arrive at our very own dock in Vancouver was a great way to end our voyage – no worry about extra poundage in our luggage from all the souvenir shopping!
On behalf of our travel partners, Bob & Helen and ourselves, thanks again, Dave, for a job well done.

Just wanted you to know how pleased we were with all you did re: our trip through the Panama Canal. Lots of folk on board had used your services and were also pleased. Your attention to detail is admirable. Thanks very much, and best wishes for the Christmas season.

I was completely skeptical about taking another cruise, especially to Mexico! I had been on a cruise to Hawaii 8 years ago and swore I would never do it again due to a closet size inside cabin, swarms of old people and mediocre food. Dave offered us a fantastic price on a 21 day cruise through the Panama Canal, with our airfare from Vancouver to Ft Lauderdale Florida included.
Our first surprise was the hotel in Florida. It was fabulous! I thought we were in a scene from Miami CSI. The food, the ambiance, the room were all awesome! Very Florida, you understand. Our second surprise came when we opened the door to our cabin SY6113 and discovered it was very roomy with a couch and 2 chairs and a king size bed with a deck that had 2 lounge chairs, and a table and chairs. The bathroom was huge too.....double sinks, jacuzzi tub, and separate glass shower. The entire experience far exceeded our expectations from the happy attentive room stewards, to the vast variety of food, the pool drinks were served icy cold and fast, and our shore excursions were incredible adventures. Mexico isn't the skanky place I remembered it to be from 25 years ago. We ate many meals in Mexico while on shore excursions and no one felt ill afterwards.
I am so glad we took a chance and trusted Dave! He really knows what he's talking about, and we will definately book another trip from
Dave. Hey Dave, don't forget us when you plan the trip to Africa!!! This was by far the best holiday my husband and I had ever been on.
Holland America went above and beyond our expectations, even baking us a marvelous fresh cream chocolate cake for a birthday party we held on board. The staff on the ship (who work thier tale ends off) were always smiling and genuinely seemed happy to help out. I didn't want to get off the ship, and find it hard adjusting to life at home, can't wait till we can take off again on a brand new adventure!!!
The other bonus, we met so many kind and interesting people. We were never bored and we were probably the youngest couple on board in our 40's and 50's! There is so much to do that the days just whizzed past........or, I could laze around the pool or chill out on my very own personal verandah if I wanted to.
Thank you Dave for guiding us and honestly telling us what to expect.......except you were wrong.........IT WAS WAY BETTER THAN YOU DESCRIBED!
