There are numerous beaches along the coast near Sydney, however, the most famously known is Bondi Beach. Along the beach you will find lots of restaurants and shops. Being that it is the most widely known, it is also the most crowded beach. However, it is essential to visit if you want the authentic Aussie feel. From Circular Quay you can also hop aboard a ferry that will take you to Manly, which is a great beach, definitely quieter, and is great for water sports.
