First stop, the Coliseum! Very cool to see! Thanks to my friend Kristin’s advice, we took up an offer from someone who approached us asking if we wanted a guided tour. The tour was in English and was €8 per person more than the standard entry fee but was also good for a guided tour of the Palatine Hill/ Roman Forum. It was worth the few extra euros considering the guides were very knowledgeable and helped paint a vivid picture of what life was like during Rome's best years. Did I mention the best part? You skipped the queues!
