Office Administrator, RBC Insurance Advisor
What drew you to the travel industry?
I kind of fell into working with the travel industry using my administration skills, but once I was in… I was definitely hooked! The business end of travel is so exciting – there are constant innovations, new ships, hotels, itineraries and tours, and we’re sending people off to have adventures and make memories – what’s not to love?
Favorite destination(s) & why?
I don’t really have a favorite destination. Every new place I go is different, beautiful, and special in its own way, so I enjoy the process of exploring and learning about new places and peoples.
Specialist Training:
Holland America Line Academy, Princess Commodore, Princess Alaska Expert, Celebrity Five Star, Azamara Triple Diamond, Crystal Cruises Academy, Uniworld River Cruise Specialist. I’m right now working on my Cunard Commodore, Oceania Specialist and CLIA Accredited Cruise Counselor programs as well.
How many years have you worked in the industry?
I have been in the travel industry for nearly two years.
Destination wish-list:
I want to travel the whole world over, but Egypt and the Holy Land are probably at the top of my list. I am an amateur Egyptologist in my spare time, so this destination holds a great deal of fascination for me – history is very well preserved in this part of the world due to the desert climate.
Interests:
Well… working here has already created a cruise addiction, so that’s a very definite interest!! I am also an avid reader with interests in ancient history, geography, geology, and biographies of interesting people. I also work on my English degree and do cross-stitching in my spare time.
Call me for:
I mostly work on keeping our office running smoothly, so I don’t take too many sales calls… but I am always interested in helping our clients find the perfect cruise or land vacation – wherever in the world they would like to go. Researching vacations always makes me eager to plan another trip for myself!!
